Aldia Prudhomme

Aldia M. Prudhomme, age 93, Halstad Living Center, Halstad, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013, with her loving family at her side. Aldia Mary Regeimbal was born on December 13, 1919 in Crookston, MN, daughter of Nap and Emma (Arel) Regeimbal. Her family moved to Gentilly when she was nine years of age. She attended the Dufault Country School, later known as Cripple Creek through the 8th grade. She was united in marriage with Leonard Prudhomme on June 1, 1941 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Gentilly. They farmed their entire working life in the Gentilly (MN) area. Her husband, Leonard, died in November of 1991. She moved into Crookston in 2000 and lived here until moving to the Halstad Living Center, Halstad, four years ago. She did quilting, crocheting and sewing, making many of her children's clothes when they were young. She always enjoyed getting together with neighbors for coffee and cards. She loved her family. She also loved cooking. She was a member of St. Peter's in Gentilly and the Cathedral in Crookston.

Survivors include five children: Laura Brock of Tucson, AZ, Sis (Bill) Marciniak of Halstad, Marion (Paul) Schultz of Crookston, Carolyn Prudhomme of Denver, CO, and Margaret (Jim) Walz of Moses Lake, WA; eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: Nap and Emma Regeimbal; her husband: Leonard in 1991; a son: Edwin in 1998; a granddaughter: Dawn Bolter; and a great grandchild: McKenzie Marciniak. Aldia's funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, July 22, 2013 at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Crookston, with the Very Rev. Vincent Miller, presiding. Visitation will be for one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Gentilly.
