Anne (Grenier, Weber) St. Yves, 99, of Crookston, MN died on December 27th 2015 at the Villa St. Vincent Nursing Home in Crookston. Anne, the daughter of Eugene and Alyda (Laliberte) Grenier, was born on October 28, 1915 in rural Red Lake Falls, MN. She graduated from Red Lake Falls Highs School in 1934 and went on to get her teaching certificate. She taught for several years around the area. She met Harold Weber while working for P. A. Brule. They were united in marriage on April 10, 1939 at St. Joseph's church in Red Lake Falls. They moved a few times before Settling on their farm in Fairfax Township where they raised their five children. Anne was very busy, not only helping on the farm, but also working at Sears and being a substitute bus driver. She was active in the Top 20 Home Makers Club, Who's Who 4-H Club, and The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception's Ladies Aid. Three years after Harold's death she sold the family farm, moved to Crookston and then to Red Lake Falls. On February 6, 1978 she married Wallace (Wally) St. Yves. They spent their winters in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, she continued to go even after Wally's death in 1983. Eventually she moved to Texas to live year round where she continued with her hobbies of sewing, quilting, crafting, and playing cards. Anne returned to Crookston in 1998, after her brief marriage to William Threlkeld III. Due to Anne's declining health, she moved to the Villa St. Vincent nursing home in 2010. Anne is survived by her children: Richard (Jeanne) Weber of Ramsey MN, Geraldine "Geri" (Don) Swem of Neosho MO, Karen (Richard) Knutson of Rosemount MN, Wayne (Rose) Weber of Crookston MN, and Keith Weber of Lake Park IA; step children: Duane St. Yves, Theresa St. Yves, and Debbie (Wayne) Dohman all of Grand Forks; grandchildren: Richard "Cliff" (Leanna) Weber, Angela Jackson, Susan Swem, Brenda (Duane) Chester, Daniel (LaShay) Swem, Scott (Mary) Knutson, Jennifer Knutson, Robert (Jenipher) Weber, Terri (Travis) Johnson, Corrina Doyea, Rebecca (Paul) Collette, Roxanne (Charles) Johnson, Valerie (Kevin) Leiser, Harold Weber, Cynthia (Jared) Wentz, Tim Weber, Mike (Misty) Weber, Mindy Weber, David Weber, and Aaron Weber; Step grandchildren: Joseph Dohman, Travis Dohman, and Nick Dohman; 31 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law: Gilbert Weber; sister-in-law: Lillian Grenier; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands' Harold and Wally, Anne was preceded in death by her parents: Eugene and Alyda Grenier; two brothers: John "Bob" and Donald Grenier; two sisters: Cecile Magnan and Eileen Grenier; one daughter-in-law: Linda Weber; three granddaughters: Laurie, Deanna, and Sheri Weber; two grandsons: Dennis Swem and Patrick Weber; and one great grandson: Nicholas Collette. The Mass of Christian Burial for Anne will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 3, 2015, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Crookston with Msgr. Roger Grundhaus, presiding. Visitation will be at the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home on Friday from 5-7:00 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service, and also at the church for one hour prior to the funeral.
