Beverly Peltier

Beverly Jean Peltier, 83, of Crookston, MN, died early Friday morning, December 26, 2014, at the Villa St. Vincent in Crookston. She had been a resident of the Villa since August of 2012. Beverly was born in Crookston on April 9, 1931, the only child of Lawrence and Mildred (Schuler) Williams. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and received her early education in the Crookston public schools. Bev spent her junior and senior years as a student at Bethany Lutheran High School in Mankato, MN, graduating in 1949. She returned to Crookston and was employed at Montague's Flower Shop until her marriage to Duane Byron Peltier on October 7, 1950. Their marriage was blessed by the births of 4 children: Larry, Jim, Kathy, and Lori. Bev was very involved in all of the kids activities while they were growing up. As they were getting older she spent 10 years working as a dental assistant for Dr. Frank Jung. Sadly, Duane passed away on July 7, 2006. Beverly was a devoted member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed baby-sitting her grandchildren, and the special times spent with Duane and all the kids at Lake McConaughy, near Ogallala, NB. Her favorite pastimes included knitting afghans and dishcloths, reading biographies and mysteries, working crossword puzzles, and baking. Beverly's life was a blessing to her family and she will be missed beyond measure. Bev leaves her 4 children: Larry (Sarah) Peltier of Cashton, WI, Jim (Mary Jo) Peltier of East Grand Forks, MN, Kathy (Bruce) Boland of Brainerd, MN, and Lori (Don) Morgan of Crookston, MN; 8 grandchildren: Nicole (Jack) Morrison, Natalie, Nathan, and Colton Peltier, Drew and Maggie Boland, and Josh and Eric Morgan; and 3 great-grandchildren: Maya, Marayah, and Jackson. May God richly bless the memory of Beverly Jean Peltier.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Beverly Peltier will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Crookston with The Rev. Steve Bohler, officiating. Visitation with the family will be for one hour prior to the service. Online registry:
