Cherith Janelle Grove

July 25, 1994 — February 20, 2025

Fargo, ND

Cherith Janelle Grove, 30, of Fargo, passed away due to health complications on Thursday, February 20th, 2025, in Fargo, North Dakota, surrounded by abundant love. Cherith Janelle was born on July 25th, 1994, in Warren, Minnesota, fifth of seven children born to Ward and Pamela Grove.

Graduating from Climax-Shelly High School in 2013, she was involved in many extracurriculars, but favored Pep Band, where she played bass drum, and other percussion instruments with friends Hailey and Alyssa Eidenschink and Claire Carlson, whom she loved. After graduation, Cherith moved to Fargo, ND in the Fall of 2013. Over the course of her years of employment, she held many customer service facing jobs. Cherith touched and inspired the lives of all who knew her, with her kindness, laughter, and creativity. Whether through her jokes or someone else making her laugh, she could always bring a smile to your face, even in the toughest of times. Cherith was everything good, and loved all things that allowed her to express her creativity. She loved painting, reading, making and listening to music, bonfires at Grandma and Grandpa Ulseth’s farm, and spending time with family and friends. She was a dedicated writer, filling many journals, with aspirations to publish an autobiography. Cherith found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, often spending time fishing with her brothers at the Red River of the North and with Uncle Marc and the family on Lake of the Woods. She was fond of spending time outdoors, especially hammocking in peaceful spots where she could relax and take in the beauty of nature. She valued traveling with The Bowling Family to Maui in 2006 and talked often of her trip to Washington in 2017, with John Olson, whom she loved dearly, and shared many years with. Cherith had many passions that brought her joy and allowed her to connect with others. One of her favorite ways to express her creativity was through chalk art. She spent countless hours drawing vibrant designs on the sidewalks of Island Park with her sisters, bringing color and joy to everyone who passed by. Her art was an extension of her playful spirit, and it always reflected her unique way of seeing the world. Whether it was a board game night at Grandma’s or playing video games together, she adored these moments with her family. A truly special and treasured bond in Cherith’s life, is the one she shared with her mother, Pamela. They exchanged many heartfelt cards filled with love, prayer, and encouragement. Their daily phone conversations were a source of comfort, laughter, and support, as they kept each other close. She was cherished by her father, whose presence and support in her life were a constant source of calming strength and love. Cherith will be profoundly missed by all who knew her and will forever remain in our hearts. Cherith is survived by her parents Ward and Pamela Grove; siblings Bethany Grove, Seth Grove, Travis Grove, Ethan Grove, Niece, Mia Olivas, Heather Grove (Casey Vargo), and Annika Grove (Katey Wold); beloved friend, John Olson; Grandmother, Donna Helgeson-Ulseth; Grandad, Dave Macierzynski; many loved aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by grandfathers Roger Ulseth and Vernon Grove; Grandmother Merry Ann Reitmeier Grove Macierzynski; Cousins Jason Perala and Isaac Perala; Aunt Rose Iraci Ulseth; Uncle Jason Grove.

Please celebrate my life, mourn for me, but know I am in a better place.
God has a plan for me, and He has a plan for all of you.
