Diane Ode Olson, age 61, of south of Laurel died peacefully Monday, April 11, 2016, at her home with her husband Roger by her side. She was born May 1, 1954 at Crookston, MN the daughter of Vernon and Delphine (Rice) Ode. She was raised in Crookston and graduated from Crookston Central High in 1972. Diane moved to Billings, MT and worked for TrueNorth Steel formerly Roscoe Steel for 28 years as Human Resource Manager. Diane married Roger Olson, the love of her life of 22 years, in Laurel, MT. Diane was the woman of many talents. She loved to bake, made desserts for all occasions, and was famous for her lefse. She had a passion for camping, fishing, boating and spending time with her family and friends. She was very active in Walleyes Unlimited, especially the Kids and Cowboys for children with cancer. She enjoyed being with family. Diane is survived by her husband Roger; daughter Christy (Olson) Weiland and her husband Mark of Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren Ashley, Madison and Trevor; mother Delphine Ode, Crookston, MN; brothers Wayne and Roger Ode of Crookston, MN and Roger's son Eli Ode. Also, surviving are loving family, Grandma Birdie Jensen, Sandy, Sherry, Kathy, Rose, Mary, Carol and Larry. She was preceded in death by her father Vernon and brother Howard. The family would like to give a special thanks to June Anderson for being by her side always. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 16 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 707 West 3rd Street in Laurel, MT. A reception will follow the service at the church. An additional memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 23 at 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Crookston. A reception will follow the service at the church. Interment will be in Crookston, MN at a time to be announced.
