Diane Sharon Walker, 71, of Crookston, MN, died peacefully at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND, on Thursday, July 28, 2016 after a long battle with COPD. Diane was born in Crookston, MN on February 28, 1945, the daughter of Virgil Aubol and Fern ( Davis) Ogaard . She spent most of her life in Crookston, and also lived for a time in Filmore, CA and Little Falls, MN. Diane married Bruce Walker on December 20, 1991 in Las Vegas, NV. Sadly, Bruce passed away on February 20, 2007.
Diane was a cherished and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her passions were attending her children's and grandchildren's many sports and activies including being a devoted hockey mom and president of the Blue Line Club. Diane spent many hours working in the concession stand. She was an avid reader and loved challenging her mind by solving a variety of puzzles.
Diane is survived by her former husband and the father of her children, Donald Perreault; children: Mark (Annie) Perreault of Walker, MN, Kimberly (Tim) Persson of Crookston, MN, Kenneth (Angela) Perreault of Bemidji, MN, and Jeff (Melissa) Perreault of Crookston, MN; grandchildren: Brittany (Shawn) Goos, Danielle (Nick) Sylvester, Mandie Persson, Dylan Perreault, Sophia Perreault; great-grandchildren: Ryder Goos and Cason Sylvester; brother, Randy Aubol of Denver, CO; sister, Darla Pashman of Topeka, KS; step-mother, Jan Aubol of Thief River Falls, MN, and many nieces, nephews , and other relatives. Diane was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bruce; her parents; brother, Rick Aubol; sister, Denise Sewill; and granddaughter, Brooklyn Rae Sylvester. May God bless Diane's memory. A private family graveside service will be held.
