Doris Adeline Pederson, age 90, of Crookston, MN passed away on May 17, 2017 at Riverview Hospital in Crookston, MN.
Doris was born on March 26, 1927 in Shelly, MN to Gust and Nettie (Eggen) Ueland. She attended school at the Lincoln Rural School of Good Hope Township. Doris was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Shelly, MN.
On October 8, 1949 Doris married Warren R. Pederson in Red Lake Falls, MN. They had three children, Roger, Susan, and Diane. They lived in Lockhart, MN before moving to Crookston, MN.
Doris was employed by Bethesda Nursing Home, and later by St. Francis Hospital. She then worked for Sekula's Hotel and Restaurant. Doris's hobbies included fishing, art, painting, and sewing. May God bless Doris's memory.
Doris is survived by her children, Roger (Corinne) Pederson of Whitehall, MT, and Diane (William) Noah of Crookston, MN; sister, Marion Hitner of Aroura, MN; brother, Gene (Margaret) Ueland of Ada, MN; six grandchildren, Jeremy and Jesse Nelson, Nicole Ogeda and Travis Pederson, and Joshua and Christine (Eric) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Emma Rae and Ethan Nelson, Kayla, Lydia, and Wade Nelson, and Parker Noah.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Warren; her parents, Gust and Nettie; daughter, Susan Nelson; and her sister, Dorothy.
There will be a funeral service and celebration of Doris's life at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home in Crookston, MN. Interment will be at Oakdale Cemetery in Crookston, MN.
