Ethan Kamranian

June 30, 2006 — September 27, 2017

Ethan Riley Kamranian, 11, of Crookston, MN, died unexpectedly at his home Wednesday morning, September 27, 2017. Ethan was born at Dunseith, ND on June 30, 2006 to birth parents, Shahin Kamranian and Christianna LaVallie. For the last few years he had making his home in Crookston with his grandmother, Linda Blow; dad, Scott Blow; and little sister, Jasmine Blow.

Ethan was a 6th grader at Highland Middle School, where he was learning to play the violin in the school orchestra. He had also recently begun taking guitar lessons. Ethan enjoyed doing all the things 11-year old boys like to do, including playing video games, and going out into the neighborhood to play soccer, football, and basketball. Summers were fun, and meant going to the family’s spot at Roy Lake, where he fished and worked on his skills as a beginning water-skier. Ethan attended Wesley United Methodist Church and Sunday school, and liked to sing with the other kids during church services. He was a member of the local Cub Scout troop, and would have soon moved up to Boy Scouts.

Ethan will be lovingly remembered and very sadly missed by his dad, Scott Blow, grandmother, Linda Blow, and 10-year old sister, Jasmine Blow, all of Crookston, MN. He also is survived by his birth parents, Shahin Kamranian of Fargo, ND and Christianna LaVallie of Williston, ND; grandparents, Jeff and Brenda Wambeke of Williston, and Reza Kamranian of Bismarck, ND; as well as, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Darrel Blow. Blessed be Ethan’s memory.

The funeral service for Ethan will be held at 4:30pm, Monday, October 2, 2017, in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Crookston, with The Rev. Michelle Miller, officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4:00pm Sunday at the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home, with a 4:00pm prayer service, and visitation also at the church on Monday from 2:30 to 4:30pm. Classmates and friends are invited to meet with Pastor Miller at 3:30pm at Trinity before the funeral to just talk and remember Ethan.
