Eunice Moore

Eunice Mae Moore, age 87, of Crookston, Minnesota, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013 in Crookston, with her loving family at her side. Eunice Cull was born on May 22, 1925 at St. Thomas, N.D, daughter of Ernest and Hilda (Aas) Cull. She grew up and was educated in Grafton and Bathgate, ND. She graduated from Warren High School in Warren, MN. She was united in marriage with Walter Keith Moore on June 21, 1945 in LaJolla, California. After his discharge from the Navy in 1946, they moved to Crookston, MN, where they lived in her parent's garage. Then Keith and Eunice moved to 721 North Ash St. where they raised their family. She worked as a secretary/bookkeeper with the Polk County Treasurers Office for many years and then at the University of Minnesota in Crookston. She worked for the Northwest Apartments and especially enjoyed working with the residents there, retiring in the late 1980's. Eunice enjoyed dancing, especially square dancing, and traveling from coast to coast. She loved games that challenged her mind, especially scrabble and word puzzles She was an avid reader and was known for her dry sense of humor, her kind heart, and gentle spirit.

Eunice is survived by her two daughters, Sandra Schultz of Crookston, Barbara "Buffy" (David) Kurowski of Redmond, OR, daughter-in-law Gail Henry of White Bear Lake; three grandchildren: Ryan Moore, Brandt (Solveig) Kurowski, Travis (Sarah) Kurowski; four great-grandchildren: Ella, Zoe, Lotte and Dolma; a sister: Helen Shanks of Crookston, a brother, Robert (Edythe) Cull of Grand Forks, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Ernest and Hilda (Aas) Cull; her husband, Keith on May 1, 1999, a her son Michael, on August 10, 1997, and an infant daughter, Patricia Ann.,

The funeral services for Eunice will be held at 3pm, Saturday, April 27, 2013, at the First Presbyterian Church in Crookston, with the Rev. Daniel N. Wolpert officiating. Visitation will be at the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home in Crookston on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 5-7 with prayer service at 7 PM, and visitation also at the church for one hour prior to the service. Internment will be at the Oakdale Cemetery, Crookston.
