Evelyn Shimpa

Evelyn Alice Shimpa, age 93 of Euclid, MN passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

There will be a Funeral Mass held at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior to service on Monday, December 3, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Euclid, MN. Interment will follow at Prairie View Cemetery in Euclid, MN.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Al (Marlene) Shimpa of Pelican Rapids, MN and Diana Mattson of Grand Forks, ND; two grandchildren, Michael (Krisandra) Shimpa and Bobby (Amber) Shimpa, both of Maple Grove, MN; five great-grandchildren, who lovingly knew Evelyn as GG, Beckett Shimpa, Gus Shimpa, Jemma Shimpa, Annika Shimpa and Zeke Shimpa; brother, Ambrose Nowacki of Detroit Lakes, MN; sister, Doris Bujnovsky of Grand Forks, ND;   sisters-in-law, Florence (Gayferd) Gustafson of Enumclaw, WA and Elvina Shimpa of Greenbush, MN; and many much-loved nieces, nephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Shimpa; son-in-law, Steve Mattson; parents, Casmier and Rose Nowacki; sister, Margaret  Bach; brothers-in-law, Linus Bach, Joseph Bujnovsky, Marvin Mattson, Louis Shimpa and Floyd Wiskow; and sisters-in-law, Lillian Mattson, Irene Nowacki and Julia Wiskow.
