Immanuel LaRochelle

Immanuel Miguel LaRochelle, age 40, of Crookston, MN, passed away on March 4, 2018 in his home.

Immanuel, or how many of his friends and family better knew him, “Eman” or “Manny”, was born on January 30, 1978, in Woodburn, OR, to Mike and Lucy (Camacho) LaRochelle. He attended Crookston school and later attended Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls, MN. After that he attended Job Corp in Chadron, NE, where he obtained his GED and Carpenter’s Certificate.

Immanuel lived in Aberdeen, SD for two years. He then moved to Crookston. Later he moved to Thief River Falls, before moving back to Crookston. Immanuel worked at the Hardee’s in Crookston and Thief River Falls. When he returned to Crookston he worked at McDonald’s, before picking up a paper route in which he would deliver the Crookston Times and the Valley Shopper.

Immanuel attended Assemblies of God Church and then attended the Valley Christian Fellowship. He went on a mission trip with VCF to Spain when he was 14. Immanuel also enjoyed wrestling for a few years for park and rec.

Immanuel was a happy-go-lucky man with a wonderful sense of humor. He could make anyone laugh without really trying. As a kid, he enjoyed fishing with his sister, Kristina, and downhill skiing with his dad. He also enjoyed swimming at the Crookston pool his entire life. He liked to waterski, and enjoyed bike riding with his dad as an adult.  Immanuel was loved greatly by his family and he loved them just as much. He would always tell his mom "I'm so glad that I know my family loves me".

Immanuel is survived by his dad, Mike of Crookston, MN; mom, Lucy of Thief River Falls, MN; sister, Kristina (Jeremy) Ray of Newfolden, MN; nephew, Isaac Ray; niece, Kayanna Ray; cousins, Nathan LaRochelle and David Rux of Crookston, MN, Sherry and Susan LaRochelle, and Lee and Crystal LaRochelle; aunts, Rosetta LaRochelle and Ramona Gilbertson; and uncle, John LaRochelle.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Martha and Alfonse LaRochelle and Bernice Camacho.

There will be a visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018. The funeral service is at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior to service on Friday, March 9, 2018. All service will be held at the Valley Christian Fellowship in Crookston, MN.
