Jackie Wayne Stout

Jackie Wayne Stout, 86, of Crookston, MN, passed away early Friday, December 22, 2023, in RiverView Health in Crookston.

Jackie, a lifelong Crookston resident, was born on May 20, 1937, to Virgil and Lucille (Marsten) Stout. He grew up near Crookston, went to a nearby country school. Jackie later attended high school at the Northwest School of Agriculture, located where what is now the campus of the University of Minnesota Crookston. During his working career Jackie was employed at Jiffy Fry, which became Simplot, and the American Crystal Sugar Company until his retirement.

Jackie enjoyed playing cards with his friends, driving all the different cars he owned over the years, traveling, and going to the casinos. He was a people person and visiting with anybody and everybody was one of life’s joys. He liked going for walks and spending quality time with his family. Jackie was a longtime member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.

Jackie is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Janna Stout of Crookston; sister, Patricia Carlson of Crookston; brother, Robert (Joyce) Stout of Spokane, WA; and several nieces and nephews: Jim Stout, Duane (Samantha) Stout, Kevin Stout, Kim Stout, Kathy (Mike) Garcia, Randy (Vicki) Foss, Nicole (Nathan) Raymond, Jon Wold, Scott (Terri) Oliver, Brenda (Dave) Prink, and Tim Oliver; a cousin, Joyce Reitmeier of Fertile, MN; extended family; and friends. Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Lucille; and sister, Shirlee Wold. Blessed be the memory of Jackie Wayne Stout.

The Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements for a Service that will be held at a later date.
