Jeanette Perreault Caillier, age 88, Crookston, died Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Villa St. Vincent in Crookston, with her loving family at her side. Jeanette M. Perreault was born on April 9, 1926 at Terrebonne, MN, daughter of Joseph and Aurora (Cardinal) Perreault. She grew up and attended country school at Terrebonne, before starting at the Red Lake Falls (MN) High School. She had worked as a waitress and at the bakery in Red Lake Falls. During WWII, she worked for Boeing Aircraft in Seattle. She was united in marriage with Paul E. Caillier on May 13, 1947 at St. Joseph's Church in Red Lake Falls, MN. They made their home on the farm near Gentilly, MN. She was a homemaker and mother of 12 children, voted "Mother of the Year" by her family from 1948 to 2014. Over the years, she sold Tupperware and Slim Jim Exercise Equipment. She loved her family and all people. Jeanette was known for her adventurous spirit. She enjoyed riding fast motorcycles and driving fast snowmobiles. She also enjoyed gardening and playing cards. She was a prankster and her family will remember her playfulness and contagious laugh. Over the years, she and Paul were members of St. Peter's Church in Gentilly, St. Joseph's Church in Red Lake Falls and the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Crookston. Jeanette is survived by her husband of sixty-seven years, Paul; twelve children: Linda (Merle) Knott of Trego, WI, Marlan (Pam) Caillier of Monticello, MN, Nancy (Bob) Katzenberger of White Bear Lake, MN, Mac (Joyce) Caillier of Vadnais Heights, MN, Renae (Dennis) Donarski of Crookston, MN, Mike (Claire) Caillier of Crookston, MN, Dean (Cathy) Caillier of Davenport, ND, Joan (Charlie Egeberg) Caillier of Hastings, MN, Paula (Mike Tschida) Caillier of Minneapolis, MN, Curt (Laurie) Caillier of Crookston, Chad (Becky) Caillier of West Fargo, ND, and Terri (Kevin) Hearnen of New Hope, MN; thirty-eight grandchildren and thirty-five great grandchildren; a sister: Laura Gervais of Grand Forks, ND and a brother: Leonard Perreault of Grand Rapids, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Aurora Perreault; siblings: Paul Perreault, Maurice Perreault, Lorraine Langlois, Alma Mornville, Eva Perreault, Fred Perreault and Louis Perreault. Jeanette's Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am, Friday at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Crookston, with the Rev. Vincent Miller, presiding. The visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm, Thursday at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Crookston, with a prayer service at 7 pm also the visitation will continue Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Interment will be at St. Peter's Cemetery, Gentilly. Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
