Kimberly Bruley

Kimberly Kay Bruley, age 52, of Thief River Falls, MN, died unexpectedly Monday morning, October 13, 2014, at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND. Kim was born in Crookston, MN on August 18, 1962, one of ten children of the union of Lloyd and Helen (Gust) Bruley. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Gentilly, MN, and grew up on the family's farm in nearby Kertsonville Township. After high school Kim worked for her father on their dairy farm. She and her dad eventually formed a partnership known as Stone Grow Acres. Kim was later employed by White Gold Farms at Red Lake Falls, and then for Excel Dairy at Thief River Falls. During the early 2000's Kim worked for Digi-Key in Thief River Falls, and had presently been employed at the Northern Lights Bookstore, also in Thief River Falls. Very sadly, her fiancé, Richard Champagne passed away in January of 2004. Kim enjoyed caring for her cats, doing puzzles, and reading, and her favorite pastime was watching movies. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her kindness and generosity, and her joy at being able to spend time with those she loved. Kim will be very sadly missed and her life celebrated by all who shared in it.

Loving family members include six sisters, Jeanne Fitchorn of Savage, MN, Sue (Mike) Terpstra of Owatonna, MN, Cindy (Dave) Veitch of Emerado, ND, Maureen (Mike) Novak of Crookston, MN, Laurie (Steve) Engelking of Crookston, and Stefanie Morberg of Fargo, ND; three brothers, Greg (Faye) Bruley and Dan (Claudette) Bruley of Crookston, and Jeff Bruley of Brooklyn Park, MN; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives. In addition to her fiancé, Richard, Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Helen Bruley; and a sister-in-law, Kathy Bruley. May God richly bless Kim's memory.





Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Kimberly Kay Bruley will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 17, 2014, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Gentilly, MN, with The Rev. Vincent Miller, presiding, and Deacon Dan Hannig, homilist. Visitation will be at the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home in Crookston on Thursday from 5-7:00 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service, and also at the church for one hour prior to the funeral.
