LaVonne Clemenson

LaVonne D. Clemenson, 65, East Grand Forks, MN, formerly of Crookston, died Thursday, June 30 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, July 8 at Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home in Crookston. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. LaVonne Diane Clemenson was born February 28, 1951 in Fargo, ND to Andwick and Darlaine (Tollefson) Clemenson. She moved with her family to Crookston in 1954 where she attended Crookston Public Schools. Following her schooling, she moved to East Grand Forks where she worked for Target for about 15 years and then for REM for the next 15 years. LaVonne enjoyed going to the movies, activities at her church, crossword and word puzzles, BINGO, taking walks, her cat, Snickers and playing cards, especially UNO. Survivors include 7 brothers and 6 sisters: LeRoy (Joni) Clemenson of Crookston, Sandy (Ron) Selzer of Wyndmere, ND, Verla (Paul) Hennings of Fargo, Terry (LeAnn) Clemenson of Lakewood, CO, Bryan (Kim) Clemenson of Oldham, England, Ellert Clemenson of Euclid, MN, Bonita (Mike) Rakoczy of Inkster, ND, Twyla (Richard) Fomasi of Dramond, ID, Todd (Carol) Erickson of Sydney, MT, Michael (Annette) Erickson in Germany, Tammy (Bruce) Kivley of Fargo, ND, Stephen (Barb) Erickson of Crookston, Kristi (Craig) Parker of Belgrade, MT, a sister-in-law, Andrea Clemenson of Gunnison, CO. and nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Darlaine and Andwick "Andy" Clemenson, her step-mother, Joan Clemenson and a brother, Larry "Lars" Clemenson.
