Linda Lou Boerner, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016.
Linda was born on October 17, 1940, in Crookston, MN to Marcel and Clarabell (Londo) Peet. Growing up, Linda attended the Crookston Public Schools.
Linda married James George Boerner on April 21, 1971, in St. Paul, MN. Linda and Jim lived in St. Paul for many years. After retiring, they moved full time to their lake home in Annandale, where they lived for 20 plus years, before moving to Crookston, MN. Linda worked for Midway Sheridan for many years. She especially loved working at Country Meadows Group Home for Men. After she retired, she volunteered for the Meals-on-Wheels program. Linda enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially loved to give them all hugs and kisses and lots of attention. She loved her dog "Buddy". Linda also enjoyed spending time with her sisters. Linda enjoyed occasional trips to the casino and traveling. Linda is survived by her children: sons, Michael (Loraine) Garson of Garrison, MN, Thomas McQueen of Hutchinson, KS, Lee (Ginny) McQueen of Hutchinson, KS; daughters, Cathryn Lampi of Crooskton, MN, and Teresa (Dan Janisch) McQueen of Crooskton, MN; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Edwin Peet of Grand Forks, ND; sisters, Arlen Sherman, and Betty Bone, both of Crookston, MN, Ruthie Cantin, Sharon Rausch, JoAnne Walker, and Cindy Yankovec, all of Blaine, MN. Linda was preceded in death by her husband James; her parents; sisters, Elizabeth (Tootie) Watson , Jean Moreno, and Betty , who passed away in 1934; brother Dennis Ray Peet. May God bless Linda's memory. There will be a memorial service at 1:00 p.m., with a visitation one hour prior to service on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Crookston, MN.
