Lorraine D. Regan, age 89, of Crookston, MN, passed away peacefully at the Villa St. Vincent on April 22, 2016, after an extended illness. Lorraine was born on September 20, 1926 to Henry and Lucille Snyder in Crookston, MN. She went to school at Dougdale, and later at Mount St. Benedict. Lorraine married Gale Regan on August 23, 1945. They lived in Kansas City, KS before moving back to Crookston to take care of her siblings. Lorraine worked at J.C. Penny Co., Polk County Nursing Service, and volunteered in the office at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception. She belonged to many memberships and organizations; including the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in Crookston, Catholic Daughters, St. Francis Auxiliary, St. Anthony Circle, Cathedral Funeral Guild #9, Cathedral Garden Club, Villa St. Vincent Auxiliary, and she was a charter member of the Eagles Auxiliary and the Lady Foresters. Lorraine loved her family and extended family. She loved gardening, crocheting, embroidery, crossword and Sudoku puzzles. She was a wonderful baker and cook. She also loved spending time at the lake with her family. Lorraine is preceded in death by her husband, Gale Regan; her parents; Gale's parents; brothers, Donald (Blanche) Snyder and Joseph Snyder; sister, Annabelle Ayotte; sister-in-law, Mary Adele and brother-in-law, Thomas Amiot. She is survived by her children, Patricia (Pete) Ramstad of Crookston, Larry Regan of Crookston, Jerry (JoAnne Arezzo) Regan of Duluth, Janie Regan of Crookston, John (Shawn) Regan of Crookston, and Dennis (Debbie) Regan of Crookston; grandchildren, Christopher Regan, Becky Damon, Joeseph Mazzitelli-Regan, Christina (Brandon Frantz) Ramstad, Michelle (Adam) Beeghly, Patrick (Kari Jensen) Regan, Nathan (Whitney) Regan, Elizabeth (Tony) Dyrdal, Matthew Regan, Curtis (Kelsey Kaml) Regan, Paul Damon; great-grandchildren, Owen Damon, Chloe Dyrdal, Emmagail Frantz, Alison Beeghly; and a new great-granddaughter due in August; sisters, Ruth Thompson of Pennsylvania and Emily Stainbrook of Crookston; numerous nieces and nephews; special friend; Eric Tongen, and his kitty. Visitation will be held at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 5-7pm, with a prayer service and a rosary (led by the Catholic Daughters and the Knights of Columbus) following at 7pm. Funeral Mass will also be held at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 2pm, with a visitation one hour prior to service.
