Mark Donald Snyder, 56, passed away early Sunday morning, February 23, 2025. He was born in Crookston, Minnesota on April 1st, 1968, the tenth child of Donald Francis and Marie Blanche (French) Snyder. He was a life-long, devoted Catholic. Mark graduated from Central High School in 1986. In high school he was a three-sport athlete where he made lifelong friends. He attended Moorhead State University and graduated with a B.S. degree in Finance in 1991. Upon graduation Mark moved to Minneapolis and worked in the financial field. In 1997 he moved to Phoenix, Arizona and continued his career at various financial institutions. It was there he met and married Rebekah Cyr in April of 2001. Together they were blessed with two sons, Andrew Mark (born in 2002) and Luke Donald (born in 2006), both his pride and joy. He actively engaged in their many sports and activities as long as he was able. In 2012, Mark was diagnosed with Multiple Systems Atrophy, and in 2016 returned to Crookston to be near siblings. He lived on his own for several years, courageously adjusting to his life as his illness progressed. He walked many miles around the Sports Arena, making new friends, and enjoyed attending his nephews’ sporting events. Mark was an avid Minnesota Twins, Vikings, and Wild fan, and would talk to anyone about the latest sporting event.
In 2020 Mark entered the Benedictine Living Community (Villa) where he continued to develop relationships with residents and staff.
Mark is survived by his sons, Andrew Mark Snyder, currently serving as a US Marine, Luke Donald Snyder and their mother Rebekah (Cyr) Snyder, both of Tempe, AZ.
