MaryJane Hagen, age 83, Crookston, MN, died Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the Villa St. Vincent, Crookston, surrounded by her loving family.
MaryJane Delorme was born on December 19, 1929 at rural Red Lake Falls, MN, daughter of Philip and RoseAlma (Charron) Delorme. The family moved to Michigan during WWII and returned to Crookston where MaryJane graduated from St. Joseph's Academy. She was united in marriage with Ralph Hagen on August 1, 1951 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Crookston. They made their home in Crookston on Holly Avenue for many years until moving to Apache Junction, AZ, twenty-five years ago. They returned to Crookston on April 1st of 2012 moving into the Summit. She had worked as an Avon representative for fifteen years while living in Crookston, her children remember organizing her product and making deliveries for her. She worked at Anderson Fabric in Crookston for a few years, before the move to Arizona. She was active in the "Ladies Aide" at the Cathedral. She enjoyed cooking and baking. While in Arizona, she began making rosaries out of beads and cord or out of yarn. She and Ralph were foster parents, fostering nineteen children over the years. MaryJane also enjoyed playing cards, especially whist. She is survived by her husband: Ralph Hagen; children: Kenneth Hagen (Lori Kinney) of Coon Rapids, MN, Duane (Kerri) Hagen of Emerado, ND, Patti (Jeff) King of Crookston, MN, Ruth Hagen (Christian Carrico) of Strandquist, MN; ten grandchildren: Brea Hagen, Lincoln Hagen, Isaiah Hagen, Austen Hagen, Cameron Hagen, Colt Schroder, Alina Nelson, Lucas Nelson, Rebecca King & Jeff King, Jr.; ten great-grandchildren: Brendan, Evan, Chance, Jason, Zoey, Zac, Aurora, Cameron, Alana, and MariahJane. She was preceded in death by her parents: Philip & Rose Delorme; a sister: Zelia; and an infant daughter: Mary. MaryJane's funeral will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Crookston, with the Rev. Vincent Miller, presiding. Visitation will be at the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home, Crookston on Wednesday from 5-7 PM, with a 7 PM prayer service and also at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Crookston.
