Patricia Irene Koza, age 73, of Crookston passed away Tuesday, January 05, 2016 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2016 in the First Presbyterian Church, Crookston, MN with visitation beginning at 1 p.m.
Patricia O'Boyle was born May 15, 1942 in Pasadena, CA. She was the daughter of Kenneth "Bud" and Gladys Muriel (Benson) O'Boyle. She graduated from the Crookston High School and Crookston School of Practical Nursing. Pat started her career at Bethesda and worked at various locations throughout her life including hospitals, clinics and home health. She married Henry "Hank" Koza on December 26, 2000 in the First Presbyterian Church, Crookston, MN. Pat finished her career in nursing at Glenmore in River View Hospital.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Crookston where she was an Elder and member of the Session. "Grandma Casey" enjoyed camping, playing cribbage, baking and gardening. She loved the forty shades of green she experienced in Ireland, was humble and a best friend to all.
Pat was survived by her husband, Hank of Crookston; her sister, Mary (Al) Amiot of Bloomington, MN; a son, Kevin (Carrie) Larson of Crookston, MN; daughters, Colleen (Gary) Hall of Hibbing, MN and Heather (Shane) Snesrud of Elysian, MN; a step daughter, Karla (Bob) Dahms of Mora, MN; niece, Nicole (Jon) Erickson of Burnsville, MN; nephew, Tony Amiot of Bloomington, MN; 14 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Michael Larson and an aunt, Irene (Burt) Butler In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial donations in the name of Pat be sent to American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
