RaeDell Kaiser

December 23, 1936 — September 25, 2015

RaeDell Kaiser, 78, of Crookston passed away on September 25, 2015, at Villa Saint Vincent Nursing Home in Crookston Minnesota. RaeDell was born on December 23, 1936, in Crookston Minnesota to Leon "Pike" and Hazel (Haroldson) Dargan. She was united in marriage to James Merrill Kaiser on May 3, 1958 in Fertile, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Crookston, where she spent her whole life. RaeDell began working at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company as a switchboard operator at the age of 16, and continued her employment with Ma Bell for 27 years, retiring shortly after direct dialing was implemented. During this time she worked with her mother . She loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events, never missing their hockey games. She spent many summers in their camper at the lake. She especially enjoyed fishing for bass and muskies with Jimmy and spending time with all their family and friends at the lake. She loved art, and did lots of drawings and paintings. Only once did she enter a contest and that year she entered a picture of a Union Lake horizon and placed first at the Red River Valley Winter Shows. She enjoyed photography and video graphing the family including the grandchildren's sporting events. RaeDell is survived by her husband, James; her sons, Mickey (Brenda) Kaiser and Gary Kaiser; along with her grandchildren Derek, Shannon, and Chris (Angie Walsh, fiancée) Kaiser. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers Dale and Dennis Dargan.
