Rhonda Brewster

Rhonda L. (Delong) Brewster, age 56, of Crookston passed away August 7th at Altru Hospital surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday August 13 at the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 am the day of the service at the funeral home. A private family burial will take place at a later date in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Crookston.

Rhonda was born to James and Deloris (Goulet) Chambers on May 5, 1962 in Cavalier, ND. She was raised there until 1970 when the family moved to Newman, GA. While in Georgia, Rhonda worked at Woodcraft and also was a fine baker of cakes and cookies. She stayed there through 1999. Rhonda then moved to Crookston, MN where she worked as a homemaker and raised her children.  While living in Crookston, Rhonda met and eventually married Charles Brewster on March 21, 2007.

Rhonda enjoyed cooking, bingo, playing with her grandchildren, being a mother, working on crossword puzzles, and watching cooking and game shows, along with football. Rhonda will be remembered for being a loving mother and grandmother.  She had amazing inner strength and was accepting of all people.  She was a dedicated Atlanta Falcons fan.  Rhonda was always smiling and having fun with her family. She was known to many friends and family as Mama B.

Rhonda is survived by her children, Bruce Delong, Crookston; Geoffrey (Kelsey) Delong, Crookston; Charles Brewster, Crookston; Ciara (Joshua) Ballard, Grand Forks, ND; Jordan Brewster, Fargo, ND ; Jasmine (Marcos) Rodriguez, Crookston; Jaleesa Delong, Wahpeton, ND; Alexandia Delong, Crookston; and Asliyah Brewster, Crookston; grandchildren, Madeline, Mason, Cobi Delong, Annabella Delong, Elaina, Martin, and Marcos Rodriguez, and Marckevin Rodriguez Jr; mother, Deloris Chambers, Crookston; sisters, Karen Chambers, Crookston; Sheila Delong, Crookston; Lynne Neville, England; and brother John, Crookston, MN.

She was preceeded in death by her husband Charles Brewster, father, James Chambers, grandparents, Joseph and Lena Goulet; aunt, Louise Foster; uncles, Louis, Josesh Audrey, Joseph Andrey Goulet.
