Rosemary Evelyn LaPlante, 86, of rural Fisher, MN passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, May 2, 2012, at Villa St. Vincent in Crookston, MN. She lived between Hammond and Lowell Township while attending school until moving to Crookston where she finished school and graduated from the Northwest School of Agriculture in 1945. Rosemary continued her education at St. John's School of Nursing in Fargo, ND graduating in 1948 with her Registered Nurse degree. Following graduation, Rosemary moved to Cincinnati, OH where she was employed as a charge nurse for 1 ½ years until returning home to marry Robert R. Rosemary continued her career as a nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Crookston for several years and was active in farming and raising the family. Sadly, Robert passed away February 9, 1986, leaving Rosemary to care for the farm and her family. Rosemary was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception as well as a Sunday school teacher in the early 1970's and served on the Funeral Guild. She enjoyed gardening, farming, baking, knitting, crocheting, and never missed watching the Kentucky Derby and the Triple Crown. May God bless Rosemary's memory.
