Sybil "Billie" Knudson age 84, of Crookston Minnesota passed away on December 22, 2015, with her family at her side. She was born to
Milton Kelly and Sybil (Baker) Kelly on January 15, 1931 in Devils Lake, North Dakota. She attended Devils Lake High School where she graduated in 1948. Sybil was united in marriage to Donald Knudson on May 13, 1950 in Devils Lake, and in 1957 the couple made Crookston their home. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, a member of the Legion Auxiliary, and was employed for many years at Polk County Social Services. Sybil was very active in the Crookston Community Theater. Sybil was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Donald; son, Mark; brother, Fred Kelly; sisters, Caryl Reslock and Betty McErlane; in-laws, Nels and Elsie Knudson; brother-in-laws, Paul Reslock and Maurice McErlane; nephews, Doug Kelly and Kelly McErlane; sister-in-law, Mari Jane Kelly; and great-granddaughter, Livia Waxler. She leaves behind five children, Greg (Jeanine) Knudson from Louisville Colorado, Kathryn (Dan) Tuseth, Elizabeth (Arlin) Volker, Brad Knudson, Caryl (Craig) Forseth, all from Crookston; a daughter-in-law Karyn Woellmer; brother, Milt Kelly; sister-in-law, Corky Kelly; grandchildren, Jason (Juliana) Cichy, Joshua (Kristen) Cichy, Matt (Cyndi) Rohlinger, Eric (Claire) Rohlinger, Grant Tuseth, Issac Tuseth, Heath Waxler, and Ben Waxler; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and special friend Douglas Weaver. Funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Crookston, MN with Pastor Steve Bohler officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery in Crookston at a later date.
