Teresa Hendrickson

Teresa Roseland Hendrickson, age 58, of Bagley, MN, died at her home Sunday morning, January 11, 2015, with her husband, Miles, and family at her bedside. She had been very courageously battling cancer since last April. Teresa was born on November 12, 1956 at Anchorage, AK, the daughter of Paul and Bernice (Sterbakken-Field) Roseland. Her earliest years of schooling were in Anchorage until the family moved to Crookston, where she continued her education, graduating from Central High School. After working at Mount St. Benedict for a few years Teresa attended college locally and became an LPN. On November 12, 1981 she was united in marriage to Miles Hendrickson at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. A few years later they moved with firstborn daughter, Tess, to Anchorage where Dana was born in 1984. Teresa worked as a nurse at Charter North Hospital. Miles, Teresa, and the girls eventually moved back to Crookston and Teresa returned to school to earn her RN degree. In 1988 the family settled in Bagley and Teresa was employed as an RN at hospitals and nursing homes throughout the area. In April of 2014 she was diagnosed with cancer and forced to give up the career she so loved. Throughout her life Teresa was an avid reader, and enjoyed sewing, quilting, listening to music, and dancing. She also liked to go shopping, antiquing, and adding to her collection of purses. Teresa loved her family dearly, and her caring and thoughtfulness knew no bounds. She found great joy in doing for others, and that is the legacy she leaves with Miles and their family. Teresa is survived by her loving husband, Miles; their two daughters, Tess (Christopher) Joy of Bemidji, MN and Dana (Brian) Morgan of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; grandson, Rhys Morgan; father, Paul Roseland (Diann Sewald) of Anchorage, AK; mother, Bernice Roseland of Crookston, MN; brother, Ron (Jennifer) Roseland of Beaverton, OR; sister, Lori (Danny) Newquist of Crookston; sister-in-law, Jackie Roseland of Crookston; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. Teresa was preceded in death by her brother, Arne Roseland; and parents-in-law, Arne and Edith Hendrickson. May God richly bless the memory of Teresa Hendrickson. The funeral service for Teresa Roseland Hendrickson will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, January 17, 2015, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Crookston with The Rev. Bill Reck, officiating. Visitation will be at the church for one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be at the Nora Township Cemetery, rural Bagley, MN, in the spring.
