Wendy Shereck-Reitmeier

Wendy Shereck-Reitmeier, age 43 of Crookston, MN passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 near Crookston.  Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Crookston.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday evening at the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home in Crookston with a prayer service beginning at 7 p.m.  Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery, Crookston.  Stenshole-Houske Funeral Home of Crookston is in charge of the arrangements.   Wendy Shereck was born May 16, 1972 in Grand Forks, North Dakota the daughter of Ronald and Elsie (Pfannsmith) Shereck.  She grew up and graduate high school in Warren, Minnesota in 1989.  Wendy received her Associate of Arts Degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Minnesota, Crookston in 1992.  She married Corey Reitmeier July 18th of that same year in Crookston.    Wendy worked for Perry Farms, Phoenix Industries, the Polk County Sherriff's office and most recently for Riverview Clinic.  Wendy was Miss Warren in 1990 and the reserve Champion at the Minnesota State Fair with her girl pig "Becky".  Wendy had a beautiful smile and plenty of spunk.  She dearly loved her family and always showed an interest in others.  She enjoyed dancing and teaching others the steps, including mom and dad.  Wendy loved music of all kinds and especially loved playing old time music with her dad's band.  Wendy loved her animals, particularly her pigs whom together they won many awards.  Wendy enjoyed dart, bowling and spending time with her family and many friends. Wendy is survived by her husband, Corey of Crookston; her son Dylan of Grand Forks and Crookston; parents, Ronald and Elsie Shereck of Tabor, Minnesota; mother and father in-law, Howard and Barb Reitmeier of Lewiston, Idaho; paternal grandfather, Lloyd Reitmeier; a sister, Melissa (Terry) Knutson of Killdeer, North Dakota; two brothers in law, Chad Reitmeier and Ryan (fiancé Stacy Scholin) Reitmeier; nieces, Kaysie Mekellti, Reily and Layney Reitmeier, Rebecca (Dusty) Everding and Brandi (Blaine) Rau; nephew, Christopher Knutson ; and by special friends, Lia Hernandez of Costa Rica and Roman Vales of Czechoslovakian Republic.  She was preceded in death by her brother Kevin Shereck; brother in law, Eric Reitmeier; paternal grandparents, Leonard and Marcella Shereck; maternal grandparents, Edgar and Martha Pfannsmith; and by her grandparents in law, Audrey Reitmeier and Gordon and Betty Mjoen.
